Privacy on discscout.app
Effective 5 November 2026. This policy covers the website and the free tools. Each app has its own: DiscScout and Chains.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to: no advertising, no cross-site tracking and no third-party JavaScript except Cloudflare's analytics beacon.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It reports aggregate numbers such as visits and popular pages, without cookies or fingerprinting, and without building a profile of a visitor.
The anonymous tool counter
When you use a tool, the page may send one short event to /e, the site's own counter. It records three things: the event name (for example jyly-complete), the page path, and a short label such as an arm speed or a score band. It does not record your IP address, user agent, country, a cookie, a persistent identifier or anything you typed. The counts go to Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine, where they are read in aggregate.
Counting is off unless the page is on discscout.app. It is skipped when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and nothing is queued while you are offline.
What is saved in your browser
The tools keep their state in this browser's local storage, under a few keys of their own:
- Your theme choice, under
theme. - JYLY games, settings and history, under
discscout.jyly.v1. - Bags, the active bag and chart settings, under
discscout.bags.v1. - The flight chart's throw, arm speed and unit, under
discscout.flight.v1.
None of it is uploaded. Clearing site data or using a private window removes it. A shared bag link carries the bag in its address, so anyone with the link can open it; nothing is stored on a server.
The service worker
The site installs a service worker so the JYLY game and the bag builder work offline after a visit. It caches the site's own pages and files. It does not cache or forward /e or any other origin.
If you email hello@discscout.app, your message is read and answered, and kept only as long as needed to help. It is not added to a mailing list.
