Chains privacy policy

Effective 5 November 2026. This policy covers the Chains iPhone and Apple Watch app. The website has a separate policy.

Who is responsible

Chains is published by SGWNI. Contact hello@discscout.app.

Your practice data

Your putts, sessions, drills, JYLY games and preferences are stored on your devices and synced through your own iCloud account, in the app's private database. The studio cannot read that data. There is no Chains account.

Anonymous usage signals

Chains uses TelemetryDeck to count app launches and feature use. A session sends its type, its exact putt count and duration, and a make-percentage band. A finished game sends its type, a score band and whether it was a personal best; an unfinished game sends its type and how many rounds were played. TelemetryDeck also records the platform and device model. It sends no make-by-make record, distance, name, account, email address or advertising identifier, and the signals are not used to track you across apps or websites.

What the app does not do

Chains has no advertising and no tracking across other apps or websites. It does not ask for your name, email address or contacts, and it does not sell data.

Keeping and deleting data

Your history stays in iCloud until you delete it. Deleting the app does not delete the iCloud copy; use Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage to remove it, or delete sessions in the app. Usage signals are kept by TelemetryDeck in aggregate.

Children

Chains is a sports tool, not directed at children under 13. It asks for no personal details.

Changes and contact

If a new service is added, this page will name it before the version that adds it ships. Questions: hello@discscout.app. The website's privacy page covers the free tools.
